Need a Refresher on How to Ask, Correctly?
(Example and Results!) Susan James

Recently, I had to have a Light fixed on my
incredible Jeep.
So, as always, before I go out or attempt to do
anything, I ask, intend, (prepave per AH),
and this is the story and results of my usual
statement as applied to my Jeep example:

My plan was to not have an appointment, since I
knew it wouldn’t be a big deal, it’s a simple
thing replacing the light thing, and I didn’t feel
the need to call them ahead of time.. AND it
was my plan to do it at the END of my day of
other stuff.

However, I’m always flexible as I know to pay
attention to the results of my asking.

I said: ‘I am Buffered and Protected As I Go
about my day, My Jeep Light is taken care of in
the Best of The Best Most Immaculate Ways
and Means.’

Again, my plan was to take care of everything
else and THEN take care of my Light at the
END of my day.

I get in my Jeep to start my day, and my over
head console came on with a prompt:
‘Low Coolant’.
I’m thinking’ Crap! But what this did, due to all
the places I needed to go, I felt like I better
go to the car place first, instead of last.

Now the thing is, as long as I have had vehicles,
NEVER has a prompt shown up, ‘Low Coolant’
As in NEVER ! So….to the car place I go.
(And on top of that I had turned OFF the
console prompts the last time I Had an oil
change; They were OFF !)

They take me right in and about 20 mins later,
the fellow comes over and says: ‘We have to
order a part and it will be here shortly, oh and
we checked your coolant, and its FULL! So we
don’t know why you got that message.’

So, I had to wait a little bit longer and then the
fellow comes over and says. ‘The parts not here
yet, do you want to wait or I can call you when
it’s here.’

So I said, ‘Ok, I’ll go do stuff and come back
when the parts here.’

As I’m waiting for the other fellow to drive my
Jeep up, the first fellow comes over to me and
says, ‘the parts here!’

So of course I stayed and Then There was Light!

The point of this story, is two-fold:
1. I knew to ask clearly for what I wanted and
how I wanted things to go.
(ie: Light Fixed, Best of The Best Most
Immaculate Ways and Means)

2. I knew to follow the sign which at the time I
didn’t know it was from THEM !
(‘Them’ is whomever or whatever you’ve
chosen it to be.)

I was ‘given’ the ‘low coolant’ message so that I
would go to the car place at the beginning of my
day, otherwise If I had gone at the end of my
day, which was my original plan, it most likely
wouldn’t have been fixed that same day, and I
would have to come back.

That ‘Low Coolant’ message prompt was a
‘higher prompt’ to guide me in answer to my
choice.
It has absolutely nothing to do with something
else needing fixed on my car.

I Knew and I KNOW beyond a shadow of a
doubt, that as we ask clearly we are gently
guided, BUT it is our part of ‘action’ to pay
attention to the information we are given.
