When Money Is The Hustler
(Yes! I Saw ‘Hustlers’!)

My first thought as the opening scene of
‘Hustlers’ with Jennifer Lopez and Constance
Wu, was; ‘hmmm I need to work out a little bit
more and eat a little bit less!’
Other than the obvious subject matter of this
well done story with brilliant acting by Jennifer
Lopez, and especially by Constance Wu, the
underlying theme was something we are all
familiar with; Love, Friendship, Family,
Survival and Money.
Money as portrayed in the film, which is also
reflected in many of our lives, is great when you
have it and not so great when you don’t.
Money represents freedom in many forms
especially for those with an entrepreneurial flair;
another thread through the film of which many
of us are familiar and live by.
Depending on one’s perception, money is a
good thing but gets a bad wrap. For those of us
with a metaphysical bent we find that there’s
more money ‘in the light’.
In the meantime I talked myself out of the drive-
thru on the way home!

enjoyable and entertaining film!

Stiles (it was wonderful seeing her! I’d been
watching a bit of Riviera and I think it got
renewed, good for her!) Also Cardi B and Lizzo
added to the spice of the film.
Oh and fair warning if you are thinking of
seeing it, and are sensitive or offended by the
spicy subject matter, well you’ve been warned!
