The $20 Dollar Lock on Money
(The Bridge Between Needing & Having)
(by Susan James)
Recently, I was heading to my car outside the
copy center. This lady drives up and calls me
over and asks if I was from around here. I said,
‘yes’, assuming she was needing directions. She
said, she wasn’t going to mug me. (That thought
was not on my mind, but nice to know!)
She wanted to know if I knew of any Pastors
that had a church that was open. As she was
talking I was assuming she needed a Pastor to
help her pray in some way. She seemed quite
dis-shoveled and had been driving around
getting directions and not one church was open.
(I was half listening as I was in a hurry.)
I then offered that the person working behind
the counter at the printer may know of someone.
But as she got out of her car to go inside to
check, I said:, ‘Wait, did you say something
about a locksmith and needing $20?”
She said, yes, that this friend of hers had $20
and she needed another 20 to get a locksmith to
let her into her apartment, as she had no money.
I said, ‘Well, I have $20.00,’ and pulled it out
and gave it to her. She was very relieved and
thankful and asked for my phone number. I said
not necessary, just pay it forward.
As I drove off, I wondered what that was ‘really’
about?
I was reminded of my own experience of having
been in that place many years ago. That place of
relief when money showed up when I really
needed it. When it came in the form of ‘relief’.
This morning, as I was wondering if I was to
write about this, the thought of course came, so
what point is this? What’s the inspiration or
moral of the story that maybe I am to gleam
from this?
Relief is a bridge between needing and having.
Some of us stay too long at the relief end of the
bridge.
The answer showed up as I was gliding
thorough one of my Kindle books by John
Randolph Price.
Our thoughts of money, are often a barrier to
receiving more in the amounts we would prefer.
Money in the form of relief, is of course
awesome, but we tire of the feeling and
circumstances which lead to relief and we tire
of the loops that just keep us there.
Writings of abundance, prosperity, love in the
visible form of money are nice, but not helpful
when we are in the ‘relief and survival’ mode.
Money as love has a secret. It loves giving us
relief. It loves giving us pleasure and assisting
us in our lives and creativity and businesses.
As it waits for us to expand our understanding
so that money flows easier and in greater
amounts, it unconditionally gives of itself and
finds ways into our lives in spite of our
resistance to it.
Money does not judge us for still having barriers
to it’s wonder. It simply wants to pour in greater
amounts and greater more wonderful
experiences.
And how do we get to that place where we allow
more money flow, more love in the form of
money and better experiences?
We Study so that we understand more. We study
so that we move beyond the relief stage of life.
We Study to know that to Source Energy, the
rules we set up for ourselves, the limitations,
don’t matter squat except for the fact, that we
hold on to those beliefs, which keep us in the
same loops.
How do we begin?
We ‘ask’.
We Write, Read, Write.
What do we write, read, write?
Ask.
And as we ask, the cracks in our mind let the
light in, and within that light, is more money!
(And more of all things good!)
